1. Scope & acceptance

This policy applies when you browse or use StudyGlitch services, create an account, complete a diagnostic, access free practice, purchase GEMS access, book a 1-on-1 Assessment, purchase group tutoring, participate in the Hub, or use StudyGlitch learning and reporting tools.

By purchasing or using a paid service, you agree to the terms shown on the relevant product, checkout and confirmation pages together with this Policy. If a product page states a more specific rule for that product, the more specific rule applies to that purchase.

2. Products & access levels

StudyGlitch currently separates its learning system into distinct levels:

  • Free: diagnostic tests, program-specific free practice, Weekly Challenge and other clearly marked free content.
  • GEMS: premium independent-learning access, including the benefits shown for the selected live plan.
  • 1-on-1 Assessment: one private 60-minute assessment session. It is not individual tutoring.
  • Group Tutoring: ongoing live tutoring delivered through program-specific group bundles.
Normal StudyGlitch tutoring is group-only. Any 1-on-1 service described on the public site refers to the dedicated Assessment product unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Diagnostic, free practice & Weekly Challenge

StudyGlitch diagnostics are intended to identify a useful starting point through score, topic, skill, timing, difficulty and recommendation signals. They are preparation tools, not official exam scores or admissions decisions.

Free practice and Weekly Challenge content can be used independently. A free account may be required to retain, claim, personalize or unlock parts of a result or learning experience.

4. Online payments & payment processing

Where online card checkout is offered, StudyGlitch uses Stripe as its payment processor. Payment details are entered through the payment-provider flow; StudyGlitch does not need to store full card details in its own application.

A browser redirect, success screen, email message or screenshot alone does not override the payment status recorded by the payment system. StudyGlitch treats the server-confirmed payment state and the matching StudyGlitch order as the source of truth for fulfilment.

If a payment is still processing, fails, expires, is disputed, or cannot be matched to the expected order amount or currency, access or booking fulfilment may be delayed until the payment state is resolved.

5. Prices, currency & VAT

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the relevant product and checkout pages. The exact payable amount is shown before payment.

Tutoring and GEMS use the VAT treatment configured for those live products and prices. The 1-on-1 Assessment displays its base price plus 5% VAT separately. If the tax treatment, rate or product configuration changes, the checkout amount shown for that purchase is authoritative.

Promotional, referral, late-join or other adjusted prices apply only when the relevant eligibility and calculation rules are satisfied.

6. Payment confirmation, fulfilment & duplicate protection

Paid access or booking fulfilment begins after StudyGlitch confirms the paid order through its commerce system. This can include creating or updating access, reserving or confirming a seat, creating an appointment, scheduling sessions, and sending operational emails or Calendar details.

StudyGlitch uses order and event controls intended to avoid duplicate fulfilment when the same payment event is received more than once. If payment succeeds but fulfilment appears delayed, contact support instead of paying again.

Confirmed duplicate payments, payment mismatches or fulfilment failures are reviewed against the payment and order records and corrected where appropriate.

7. 1-on-1 Assessment

The StudyGlitch Assessment is a 60-minute private online session for SAT Math, GAT / Qudurat, or AP Calculus AB. It is designed to observe how a student approaches problems and to identify useful topic, skill, timing, recognition, execution or decision signals.

The diagnostic is recommended before an Assessment but is not required. The Assessment fee is separate from tutoring and is not automatically credited toward a later tutoring bundle.

Assessment appointments use reserved capacity. Customers may cancel through the secure cancellation route provided for the appointment, but the Assessment fee is non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where StudyGlitch confirms a duplicate charge, billing error, or other refund condition it expressly approves.

8. Group tutoring

StudyGlitch tutoring is live, online and group-based. Each bundle has its own program, schedule, seat capacity, tutor assignment, session count, registration state and commercial terms shown in the live booking system.

Tutoring may include explanation, guided solving, live testing, post-test inspection and changes to the next learning focus. A teaching plan may therefore evolve when new performance evidence shows that a different intervention is more useful.

Unless StudyGlitch explicitly states otherwise for a specific service, missed group sessions are not automatically replaced because the group follows a shared live schedule.

9. Seat reservations, checkout holds, group formation & late joining

Group tutoring has limited capacity. The booking system may temporarily hold a seat while an eligible checkout is active. An expired, failed or abandoned checkout may release that capacity automatically.

StudyGlitch may close enrollment when a group reaches capacity, passes its allowed registration window, or reaches a point where joining late would damage the learning sequence.

When late joining is permitted, the price and session count are recalculated from the remaining eligible sessions. A late-joining student is not charged for sessions that occurred before the recalculated entry point.

Group formation and continuation can depend on confirmed enrollment and operational viability. If StudyGlitch proposes an adjusted smaller-group delivery or optional continuation arrangement, any new amount or structure is communicated before the customer accepts it.

10. Calendar, Google Meet & operational communication

Paid Assessment and tutoring services may use email, Google Calendar and Google Meet for operational delivery. Customers are responsible for providing a usable email address and checking the confirmation and scheduling information sent to them.

If StudyGlitch reschedules an eligible appointment or session, Calendar and email details may be updated automatically. A Calendar invite is an operational convenience and does not replace the underlying booking or payment record.

For the 1-on-1 Assessment, tutor identity is operational information and is not required to be displayed publicly in the customer booking experience.

11. Cancellations, refunds, partial refunds & disputes

Assessment

Assessment bookings are cancellable but normally non-refundable because a dedicated one-hour slot is reserved for the student, subject to applicable law and any billing-error, duplicate-charge or explicit StudyGlitch admin override exception. Any approved Assessment refund is handled by StudyGlitch admin review only.

Group tutoring

For standard group tutoring, a customer refund request is considered only after Session 1 has ended and before the earlier of Session 2 starting or 24 hours after Session 1 ends. The delivered Session 1 value is retained using the original undiscounted purchased bundle value, including any late-join basis that applied to the purchase.

Referral or promotional discounts do not reduce the retained value of delivered Session 1. StudyGlitch may retain actual non-recoverable payment processing cost only where that cost is known from the payment records and retaining it is permitted under the applicable refund terms and law; StudyGlitch does not estimate or guess card processor cost.

StudyGlitch may approve a full refund override for a tutoring order. A full refund override returns the remaining customer charge without retaining Session 1 value or processor cost. Any related booking, access, or future-session changes are handled separately after the refund is successfully confirmed.

GEMS

GEMS is purchased as fixed-duration access and does not renew automatically. A customer who completes an eligible GEMS purchase may cancel that purchase within 24 elapsed hours of the server-confirmed successful payment and receive a full refund. The 24-hour protection period does not add extra time to the purchased plan and does not delay the original payment.

Refund eligibility is determined from StudyGlitch payment and order records rather than browser, device or session time. Once an eligible GEMS cancellation is accepted for refund processing, access created by that purchase may be paused while the refund is being resolved. If the refund succeeds, that purchase no longer provides GEMS access. If the refund fails, valid access from that purchase may be restored according to the recorded payment and entitlement state.

Refunding one GEMS purchase does not remove another valid entitlement source. Separate paid access, an active manual grant, an existing valid legacy entitlement or another independently valid source remains subject to its own expiry and access rules. Partial GEMS refunds, exceptions outside the 24-hour protection period and other special refund cases require StudyGlitch review unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Processing and disputes

Refunds are submitted through the payment system after approval. The time for funds to appear can depend on the payment provider, card network and issuing bank. A refund request does not guarantee immediate bank availability.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, duplicated or unauthorized, contact StudyGlitch promptly so the order and payment records can be reviewed. Payment disputes may suspend related fulfilment or access while the dispute is active.

12. GEMS access, expiry & account connection

GEMS benefits, plan duration and current price are defined by the live GEMS product catalogue and the plan selected at checkout. Each GEMS plan is a one-time fixed-duration purchase. GEMS plans do not renew automatically, and StudyGlitch does not automatically charge the customer again when the purchased access period ends.

Paid GEMS access is based on server-confirmed payment and the entitlement recorded for that purchase. For a new customer, successful payment may be followed by a secure account-setup or account-linking step so the paid entitlement can be connected to the correct StudyGlitch account. Closing the browser after payment does not by itself cancel or erase a successfully recorded purchase.

Eligible GEMS purchases include 24-hour full-refund protection beginning from the recorded successful payment time. Cancelling within that period does not create an additional free day; it cancels the paid purchase and, when the refund succeeds, removes the entitlement created by that purchase subject to any other independently valid GEMS access the account may hold.

Some StudyGlitch tutoring or other services may separately include or add GEMS access as one of their active benefits. Access from those sources follows the terms and expiry of the service that provided it.

13. Referrals, promotions & adjusted pricing

Referral and promotional discounts apply only when the user, order, program and purchase satisfy the active offer rules. Referral codes cannot be applied to the 1-on-1 Assessment.

Discounts, campaigns, credits and promotional benefits are not transferable unless StudyGlitch explicitly states otherwise. If a refund is approved, the refund calculation may preserve the commercial effect of the discount or referral that applied to the original purchase.

14. Account conduct, Hub behavior & intellectual property

StudyGlitch materials, tests, question banks, reports, session content, platform interfaces and original learning resources may not be copied, recorded, redistributed, resold, scraped, republished or commercially reused without permission.

Users must not use StudyGlitch accounts, Hub, comments, messages or learning tools for abusive, discriminatory, harmful, fraudulent or disruptive behavior. StudyGlitch may limit or remove access when serious misuse, content theft, payment abuse or harmful conduct occurs.

15. Reporting, learning evidence & results

StudyGlitch reporting may use diagnostic performance, topic and skill results, timing, practice tests, materials coverage, live-test evidence and other learning activity available for that student.

Reports, predicted ranges, diagnostic recommendations and progress signals are educational guidance. They are not official SAT, GAT or AP results and do not guarantee a particular exam score, admission decision or outcome.

StudyGlitch is designed to make preparation more deliberate and measurable, but improvement still depends on student effort, consistency, attendance, readiness and factors outside the platform’s control.

16. Data, privacy & operational records

StudyGlitch may store the account, booking, order, payment-reference, entitlement, attendance, progress, diagnostic, practice and support information needed to operate the service, deliver purchased access, prevent abuse, reconcile transactions, improve the product and provide student support.

Payment processors and connected delivery services may process information under their own terms and privacy practices. StudyGlitch should not be used to submit sensitive information that is not needed for the educational or operational service.

17. Policy changes, contact & controlling version

StudyGlitch may update this policy as products, payment flows, pricing structures, learning features or operational systems change. The version published on this page is the current public version unless a purchase-specific term expressly states otherwise.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude a consumer right or legal obligation that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
