1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to StudyGlitch websites, accounts, diagnostics, free practice, Weekly Challenge, GEMS, Materials, PowerCenter, The Hub, 1-on-1 Assessment, Group Tutoring, booking, customer support, learning reports and related online services.

It explains StudyGlitch's handling of personal data. Separate service providers, such as payment, email, hosting, analytics or online meeting providers, may also process information under their own privacy terms.

2. Personal data we may collect

Depending on how you use StudyGlitch, information may include:

• Account and identity information: name, nickname, email address, profile information, avatar choice and account identifiers.
• Student and preparation information: exam/program interests, target dates, target scores and related preparation details you choose to provide.
• Learning information: diagnostic answers and results, scores, topic and skill performance, timing, practice attempts, test analysis, progress, materials activity and learning recommendations.
• Booking and service information: selected program, bundle, cohort, Assessment slot, appointment, tutoring sessions, attendance or operational scheduling records.
• Commerce information: StudyGlitch order identifiers, product purchased, amount, currency, VAT/tax treatment, payment status, refund status and payment-provider references. StudyGlitch does not need to store your full card number or CVC.
• Communications: support requests, contact-form messages, operational emails, Hub posts/comments/reactions and other information you submit to StudyGlitch.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, device/browser information, page activity, session/security information, referral/attribution information and analytics events where collected.

3. How we collect information

Information may be provided directly by you or by a parent/guardian acting for a student, generated through your use of StudyGlitch, created as part of a booking or learning activity, or received from service providers needed to process payments, deliver communications, schedule sessions, secure the platform or measure website usage.

4. Why StudyGlitch uses personal data

StudyGlitch may process personal data where reasonably necessary to:

• create and secure accounts;
• provide diagnostics, practice, reports, GEMS and learning tools;
• process bookings, Assessment appointments and Group Tutoring;
• create and reconcile orders, payments, refunds and entitlements;
• send service confirmations, scheduling information and support responses;
• create Calendar/Meet delivery records where required for a purchased service;
• measure learning progress and personalize recommendations or teaching focus;
• maintain platform security, investigate abuse and prevent fraud;
• maintain financial, operational, audit and dispute records;
• understand and improve website, product and learning-system performance;
• comply with legal, regulatory or contractual obligations where applicable.

5. Student, diagnostic & learning data

StudyGlitch uses learning data to provide the educational features requested by the user: for example, diagnostic scoring, weak-topic and weak-skill signals, timing analysis, practice-test analysis, progress measurement and recommendations.

Tutors or authorized StudyGlitch personnel may access relevant learning and booking information when needed to deliver tutoring, Assessment, support, reporting or platform operations. Access should be limited to what is reasonably required for the person's role.

Predicted ranges, recommendations and learning reports are educational guidance and should not be treated as official exam results.

6. Payments, Stripe & financial records

StudyGlitch uses Stripe for online card checkout where offered. Payment card details are entered into Stripe's payment flow, and Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy and security practices.

StudyGlitch receives and stores the information needed to operate the transaction, such as an order/payment reference, payment status, amount, currency, tax treatment, refund state and limited customer/payment metadata returned by the provider.

StudyGlitch may retain transaction and related operational records when reasonably necessary for accounting, reconciliation, refunds, fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations and customer support.

7. Cookies, sessions & analytics

StudyGlitch may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies that are necessary for account sessions, security, preferences, checkout continuity, platform functionality and related technical purposes.

StudyGlitch also uses analytics tools, including Google Analytics where enabled, to understand page usage, navigation and product performance. Analytics information may include device, browser, approximate location, referral and interaction data depending on the provider configuration and user/device settings.

Browser controls may allow you to restrict cookies or storage, but blocking essential technologies can prevent account, booking, checkout or other platform functions from working correctly.

8. When information may be shared

StudyGlitch may share or make personal data available to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the service. Categories may include:

• payment processing providers such as Stripe;
• hosting, database, security and infrastructure providers;
• email and communication providers;
• Google services used for Calendar and Meet delivery;
• analytics providers;
• authorized tutors or operational personnel who need relevant data to deliver the service;
• professional advisers, authorities or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, legal process, fraud prevention, security or rights protection.

StudyGlitch does not disclose personal data publicly merely because it is collected. Information a user intentionally publishes in public or community features such as The Hub may, however, be visible according to that feature's design.

9. International processing & service providers

StudyGlitch serves users across multiple countries and may use service providers whose systems or personnel operate in different jurisdictions. As a result, personal data may be processed or stored outside the user's country.

Where applicable data-protection law imposes requirements on international transfers, StudyGlitch seeks to use appropriate contractual, organizational or provider safeguards consistent with those requirements.

10. How long information is retained

StudyGlitch does not use one retention period for every category of data. Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain an active account or entitlement, provide learning history, complete bookings, support users, protect the platform, reconcile financial transactions, respond to disputes, maintain required records or comply with applicable obligations.

When data is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized or otherwise removed from active use, subject to backups, technical constraints and records that must be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

11. Security

StudyGlitch uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data and account access, including access controls, server-side authorization, secure payment-provider flows, logging and other safeguards appropriate to the service.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their passwords, use accurate contact information, avoid sharing account credentials and contact StudyGlitch if they believe an account or transaction has been compromised.

12. Your privacy choices & rights

Depending on the law that applies to you and the circumstances of the request, you may have rights concerning personal data held by StudyGlitch, including rights to request information about processing, access personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

Some requests may be limited where StudyGlitch needs to retain information for an active service, transaction, security purpose, dispute, legal obligation or another lawful reason.

To make a privacy request, use the StudyGlitch Contact page and clearly state that the message is a privacy request. StudyGlitch may need to verify identity before disclosing, changing or deleting account information.

13. Students, parents & minors

StudyGlitch is an educational service and may be used by school-age students. Where a student is below the age at which they can independently provide valid consent or enter a relevant agreement under applicable law, a parent or legal guardian should provide or authorize the information and paid service as required.

Parents or guardians who create bookings, purchases or communications for a student should provide only information reasonably needed for the educational service.

14. Service & optional communications

StudyGlitch may send operational communications needed for an account or requested service, including verification, security, booking, Assessment, tutoring, GEMS, payment-status, scheduling, cancellation, support and other service-related messages.

Where StudyGlitch sends optional promotional communications, users should be given an appropriate way to opt out. Opting out of promotional messages does not prevent StudyGlitch from sending necessary transactional, security or service communications.

15. External websites & connected services

StudyGlitch may link to or use third-party services. Their privacy practices are controlled by those providers, and this Privacy Policy does not replace their policies. Users should review relevant third-party privacy information when appropriate.

16. Changes, questions & privacy requests

StudyGlitch may update this Privacy Policy when its services, data practices, providers or legal requirements change. The version published at this URL is the current public version, and the "Last updated" date identifies the current revision.
